Sehat Maju Perkasa (SMP for short) is a healthcare provider focusing on clinic and pharmacy. On this project they needed a web based clinic management system for their internal usage. The application provides inventory management, patient management, appointment scheduling, invoices, and employee management.
↳Challenges
Creating an intuitive clinic management system for Sehat Maju Perkasa (SMP) is challenging due to healthcare's inherent complexity. We must seamlessly integrate inventory, patient, appointment, invoice, and employee modules, balancing robust functionality with user-friendly design. Additionally, we navigate healthcare regulations ensuring compliance while prioritizing usability and functionality. Our goal is an optimized system empowering SMP clinics to deliver exceptional patient care efficiently.
↳Approach
We define user flows for each module. We adopted the flow that had been run offline (manually) and ensured that the online system make the flow simpler and easier. That's why we take great care in designing the user flow. Considering this dashboard will be used by employees in all branches, usability were on top of our mind.
↳Process
I initiated the design process by outlining detailed to-do lists:
Defined the need for three distinct dashboards catering to four different user roles: Super Admin, Doctor, Apothecary, and Cashier, each with varying levels of control. I mapped out the flow for each user, considering their specific responsibilities and access requirements.
Developed wireframes based on the outlined user flows, ensuring that the layout effectively catered to the needs of each user role and facilitated smooth navigation and interaction within the system.
Integrated the wireframes into a clickable prototype, allowing for interactive exploration and validation of the user flows and interface design.
Following iterative discussions and revisions with the client, ensuring their satisfaction with the proposed flows and overall layout, I transitioned to the UI design phase.
